Sniawbhalang’s file on CBI table: Pala

Shillong, Aug 22: Congress leader Vincent Pala said the NPP leaders, including Sniawbhalang Dhar are under the radar of the CBI and hence they are compelled to praise the BJP to escape from action.

During a press conference after the meeting of the party on Thursday, Congress state president Vincent Pala alleged that Dhar is under the CBI scanner

Pala said, “I was an MP, I know. They used to come to me and ask for feedback, intelligence. All their files are on their table. A time will come and we will see who Sniawbhalang is. History will tell who Pala is and who is Sniawbhalang?”

Pala also accused Dhar of being the “spokesperson” of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

He was reacting to Dhar’s statement that the Congress will soon be wiped out from Meghalaya following the recent merging of its three MLAs – Gabriel Wahlang (Nongstoin), Celestine Lyngdoh (Umsning) and Charles Marngar (Mawhati) with the NPP.

Pala also said he is richer than the NPP to join its fold.

“Sniawbhalang Dhar is the spokesperson of the RSS. The RSS or the BJP wherever they are, their voice is Congress Mukt. So Sniawbhalang Dhar has to voice it otherwise they know all illegalities from drugs, coal to anything all done by Sniawbhalang Dhar and company,” Pala said.

He alleged that Dhar is under the CBI scanner and added that the CBI is aware about the activities of Meghalaya politicians.

Pointing out the arrest of Arwind Kejriwal and other political leaders including ex-chief ministers, Pala said, “The records which they put one day they will land in problem.”

“Today they have to speak the voice of the BJP otherwise they will be finished by the BJP so the voice of Sniawbhalang is hundred percent the voice of the BJP, the voice of the RSS. The people of Meghalaya should know who he is. He has been exposed by his statement that he has been used by the BJP, he has been used by the RSS,” he added.

In response to Dhar’s statement that the NPP would welcome Pala to join its fold anytime, the Congress president replied “I think Pala is richer than the NPP”.
