Shillong, June 3: The relatives of Indore couple-late Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi, who is still missing, demanded a CBI probe into the case.
NDRF personnel have joined the state forces to search for Sonam.
The brother of Raja, Vipin Raghuvanshi (left in picture) and the brother of Sonam, Govind Raghuvanshi, alleged that it is a murder and kidnapping case which needs a high- level probe.
“My brother was wearing gold ornaments and they are missing . Sonam was also wearing gold ornaments'”, Vipin told reporters infront of NEIGRIHMS morgue where postmortem of Raja will be carried out.
They also informed that there were no complications in the marriage, which was arranged.
There is no angle of enmity. They were married on May 11 and they were happy’, he added.
“Why we demand the CBI probe is because the local police here are not agreeing that there is a foul play but if there is no foul play then why would there be a dead body? His body was found 25 kilometers away from where the rented scooty was parked. Therefore, we highly suspect that they were kidnapped and taken to Weisawdong falls, we are waiting for the post mortem examination to be completed before taking the body to Indore for last rites”, he said.
