Shillong, July 1: Mosklander Marngar, chairman of Meghalaya Commercial Truck Owners & Drivers Association, has alleged conspiracy by the state government in not allowing truckers to travel from Mawmaram to Lad Umsaw(Damsite).
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Marngar cited the case of residents of Mawmaram blocking a police vehicle on Monday evening.

According to Marngar, the truckers will incur loss if they take the Mawryngkneng route.
Truck owners and drivers had earlier alleged illegal collection of money along the Mawmaram-Lad Umsaw road by groups
Marngar said the delegation wanted to meet Deputy Chief Minister in-charge PWD (Roads) Prestone Tynsong to apprise the matter but he did not give time.
