Shillong, Sept 9 (Agencies): Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned on Tuesday following the violent protests in the country and the death of 19 people on Monday. The resignation comes a day after Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak resigned, citing “moral responsibility”.

Earlier in the day, the protesters continued to take to the streets despite curfews. They set ablaze the residences of Lekhak and CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Ram Narayan Bidari in Kathmandu, media reports said.
