Assam author speaks on Sankardev in Delhi

New Delhi, May 19: Writer Arup Saikia attended a seminar as International Bhaona artiste and preacher of Assamese traditional culture. Saikia presented the theory of Neo-Vaishnavism or Bhakti movement of Sankardev. The Bhakti movement was born in Tamil Nadu.

The seminar’s academic discourse centred around topics that cross-examine national outlook with regional realities.This is for the strong sociological framework of organisers and the regional background of the attendees.
