Shillong, May 26: The relatives of the missing Lady Keane higher secondary school student are anxiously waiting for her return.
Tumpa Nath (17) went missing on the morning of May 22 after her father dropped her in Lady Keane’s School from their residence at Zig Zag, Rilbong.
After entering the Lady Keane compound, the student hurriedly walked towards the exit.
The frantic search of the relatives resulted in the clue that she travelled with three others in a taxi to Kamakhya. While one passenger got down in Guwahati, others reached Kamakhya railway station.
There was a train to Panjab at 11 am, but it was not ascertained whether they boarded the train.
Police on Tuesday (May 26) released her photo and descriptions, seeking information about her whereabouts.
According to sources, she did not attend classes for three days before she went missing.
She had also deleted her social media accounts from the phone belonging to her mother indicating that she was in contact with someone.
The relatives have urged Meghalaya police to seek the help of its Assam counterpart and the Railway police to know the travel plan from Kamakhya Railway station.
