Shillong, Aug 3: Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar has said the government’s doors are open to all political parties in the wake of proposed protest march to secretariat by VPP on August 6.
Speaking to reporters, he urged elected leaders not to resort to protest marches.
According to Dhar, the MLAs. were elected to raise people’s issues directly with the government.
Dhar said dialogue is the preferred route to resolve issues.
“Actually, there is no need for them (VPP) to march. They can come and submit a memorandum nicely to the Chief Minister. We can have a dialogue and discuss — that is usually how we run the government,”
He said elected representatives have unrestricted access to the government.
