
Shillong, Aug 24: National People’s Party (NPP) senior leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Dr Wanweiroy Kharlukhi quit the party on Monday (Aug 24)
In a letter to NPP state president Prestone Tynsong, Kharlukhi said, “I hereby tender my resignation from the primary membership of the National People’s Party with immediate effect.”
“I request you to kindly accept my resignation and take necessary steps to remove my name from the primary membership records of the party with immediate effect,” he said.
He expressed gratitude to the party and said, “I sincerely thanks the party leadership and fellow members for the opportunities, support and experiences extended to me during my association with the party”.
