Shillong, July 31: Neither the state, nor its citizens remembered former President APJ Abdul Kalam, who passed away while addressing the students at IIM Shillong on July 27, 2015 and former chief minister Donkupar Roy, who passed away on July 28, 2019.
Though it is Covid situation, no virtual meetings or webinars were held to recollect the contributions of the late President of the country and the former chief minister of the state.

Curiously, the nameplate of Roy is still visible above the gate of his official residence, close to Pine Mount School, now occupied by his son, who represents Shella constituency.
