Shillong, Feb 4: Activist Cherian Momin had submitted a memorandum to Home Minister Amit Shah highlighting the urgent need for intervention on critical border security issues in Meghalaya. The memorandum addressed the increasing influx of illegal immigrants, rampant cross-border smuggling, the inadequate state of border fencing, and the necessity of establishing functional entry and exit points.
