Shillong, Nov 21: After projecting the iconic Smit bus to promote poll related matters, the election department has come up with a boat concept for promotion of special summary revision.
Special campaigns held across the state on Saturday for enrolment , corrections and deletions also covered riverine polling stations not far from the Indo- Bangladesh border in Meghalaya, through the “ Boat of Democracy “ in Amlarem Sub division , West Jaintia Hills district.

DC West Jaintia Hills & SDO( Civil ) Amlarem led the SVEEP & election teams on the boat of democracy to Kamsing polling station which also happens to be the state’s smallest polling station (29 voters in 2018)
