Shillong, Feb 8: The state BJP president Ernest Mawrie said the BJP was not consulted while the Chief Minister Conrad Sangma accepted the support of the five Congress MLAs.
Two BJP MLAs-AL Hek and Sanbor Shillai (labour minister) are part of the MDA government.

“I came to know about this only one hour back from the news, I don’t know whether our MLAs were consulted”, Mawrie said on Tuesday.
The state BJP president apprised the matter to the central leadership.
“We are waiting for a response from the central leaders”, he said.
The concern for the BJP is the ideological differences between the party and the Congress.
“I don’t know how we can work together, it is like the tiger and the deer drinking water from the same river”, Mawrie said.
