Shillong, Nov 13: The state BJP has ruled out any pre-poll alliance with political parties in the state .
In the just concluded bypolls, while the BJP had fielded a candidate in Rajabala, the party did not put up candidates in Mawryngkneng and Mawphlang.
Speaking reporters on Saturday, the state BJP president, Ernest Mawrie said that the BJP is not keen to forge alliance with any political party for the 2023 Assembly polls.
“BJP being a national party will fight on its own and that there will be no alliance with any party”, he said.
To a query on contesting all 60 constituencies, the BJP president said, “It is too early to say because we have to study and we have to go from one constituency to another. The election committee and state/central leaders will take the decision on how many seats we are going to contest in 2023.”
