According to sources, on Thursday  around 1.30 pm the search party found the mortal remains of Zolt Puskas at Riewkuksan under Ramdait village in the very steep path leading to Tyrna village (not Nongriat).

The tourist went missing on March 29 and a complaint was filed on April 2.

Sordar of Mawkawir told the police that the rugged path was earlier used by the people of Mawkawir and Ramdait to travel to Tyrna. The people would cross over the river through a small living root bridge.

This path is no longer in use after a cemented path was constructed leading to an iron bridge over the river. This path leads to Nongriat and the people are now travelling through this route.

The search parties consisted of personnel from Sohra PS, Sohra Fire and Emergency Services, people from Mawkawir and Ramdait Village. Extensive search was carried out in areas such as Mawkawir village, cave in Mawkawir, several areas in Ramdait, Mynteng, Nongriat, Mawlakhiat, Pyndem Dkhar and the entire stretch of the river from Ramdait up to Nongriat.
