Shillong,May 12: The Centre has sent an official letter exempting affiliated colleges under NEHU from the purview of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) .
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma told reporters that he received the letter on Thursday.

Conrad said the MDA meeting held on Thursday discussed the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).
“While we were in the meeting, the letter from the Union Education Minister also came in so it was good timing for us in one way. The Union Education Minister had specifically mentioned that other colleges can continue with their admission on the basis of how they used to do before which means CUET will not have to be taken,” Conrad said.
