Naga groups to strengthen protest, economic blockade
Imphal, June 29 (NNN): In a joint meeting of the Naga People’s Organisation (NPO), tribe hohos, Senapati District Women Association (SDWA), and Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA), it was unanimously resolved to strengthen the ongoing agitation through more effective measures in every possible manner.
As part of this resolution, a supervisor committee has been constituted to monitor the agitation more strictly, with the objective of preventing the inter-district supply of commodities, said the NPO on Monday.
The frontal organisations of Senapati District, NPO, SDWA, and SDSA, “earnestly” appealed to the public to extend their full cooperation to the supervisor committee and maintain discipline in the interest of the collective movement.
Any individual or group found violating the agitation shall face the strictest possible action, without exception and under no circumstances shall any violation be condoned, said the NPO.
The frontal organisations of Senapati further appealed to all Naga villages to maintain strict vigilance in their respective areas to ensure the effective implementation of the agitation.
“The agitation shall continue until justice is delivered for our six Naga brothers, who were kidnapped at Leilon Vaiphei by narco-terrorist Kuki refugees under the leadership of Lalboy Vaiphei, the village chief, later handed over to KNF-P armed militants, headed by Thangboi Kipgen, husband of Nemcha Kipgen, the Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur, brutally murdered, and their bodies dismembered in an act of unimaginable cruelty”, further stated the NPO, adding, “It is time to unite and stand together in the fight for justice”.
