Shillong, Sep 21: The International Arts and Culture Foundation in Bengaluru celebrated Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav at U Soso Tham auditorium in the city on Wednesday.
The programme — supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Meghalaya Department of Arts and Culture — was a cultural soiree adorned by talented performers from the state and neighbouring Assam. Among them were the artistes of Gitanjali Dance Academy Shillong that is led by danseuse Monica Chanda.

The other groups from the state were Wangala Dance group led by Jesilda Cheran Momin and Madhubanti Dance group from Shillong. The two groups from Guwahati were dancers of Sadhana Kathak Kendra led by Aligunjan Kalita Mudiar and Darpan Dance AKademi led by Dr Anjana Moyee Saikia.
