Shillong, Sept 26: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said on Monday that he will take up with the Centre on the need to restore the special benefits to the All India Service offers serving in the North East.
The union ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions had on September 21 withdrawn post-retirement housing for AIS officers working in North East, incentive of reimbursement of payable income tax to Tribal All India Service Officers belonging to North East cadre on Central deputation, inter-cadre deputation from and to North East cadre and additional monetary incentive.
