Shillong, Aug1: Sixth day into BJP leader AL Hek losing cabinet berth, three central BJP leaders came to his residence at Rynjah on Sunday and expressed shock over lack of consultations by the state party functionaries.
The central leaders, Ajay Jamwal, Arun Singh and Chuba Ao told Hek that they were not aware of his sudden removal and the induction of party MLA Sanbor Shullai.

They assured to take up the matter at the highest level.
Hek told Meghalaya Monitor that he is yet to resign from the cabinet as neither the party nor the Chief Minister Conrad Sangma asked him to quit. He fumed that his removal was like backstabbing.
