Secondary School Chokpot has moved Meghalaya Lokayukta for action against the contractor for not completing the construction of Durama Wa.gegitok RMSA Secondary School Chokpot, South Garo Hills (Section-ii).
The petition filed by Marak through his lawyer PT Sangma said that the contractor
.Sengrak D. Sangma and other
respondent authorities did not complete the work worth over Rs 1 crore.
The petitioner has urged the Lokayukta to direct the Director of Prosecution, Meghalaya Lokayukta to investigate regarding the alleged misuse of Rs.1,11,17,000 for construction of Durama Waggitok RMSA Secondary School Chokpot.
Im another petition filed before the Lokayukta, the Nokma of Dana Adugre, South Garo Hills through his lawyer PT Sangma sought probe into the alleged misuse of over Rs 5 crore for the construction of metalling and blacktopping of road from Dapgre to Dana Adugre via Wa’Gegitok Bazar (3.km) with New Technology under Special Plan Fund(Job No.PW/WR/2015-2016/145)with Rs. 5.06,66,000.
According to the complainant, the work had not been completed but Rs 4 crore was withdrawn by the contractor without doing any work therefore the petition was filed to conduct an inquiry into withdrawal of money by the contractor without doing any construction for the period of around 5 years.
The complainant after receiving information from the office of the Executive Engineer PWD Road, Baghmara Division had conducted a spot inquiry and found that no construction was carried out.
