Shillong,Sept 12: The state government has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the lynching of four prisoners by an angry mob.
Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui made a suo motu statement in this regard in the Assembly on Monday.

Additional district magistrate BK Boro will head the magisterial probe and submit the report on September 19, while a separate police inquiry is also on.
The prisoners who were killed have been identified as I love you Talang ,Lodestar Tang, Shidarki Dkhar and Marsanki Tariang ( convict)
While the fifth prisoner Ramesh Dkhar escaped from the crowd, another prisoner, Rikamenlang Lamare was not part of the group.
