Shillong, June 23: A lower court has sentenced a man to five years and three months’ imprisonment for sexually assaulting a minor girl.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 3,000.

The offender Ferdinus Marbaniang, was found guilty and convicted U/S 10 POCSO Act by the Court of Special Judge (POCSO Act) on June 21.
Marbaniang had sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl .
An FIR was filed with the Rynjah police station on May 24, 2015.
A case was registered and it was endorsed to WPSI K.D. Sangma who after investigation charges sheeted the case on March 8, 2016.
