Shillong, April 25: The teacher from Assam, who went missing and found here on Saturday (April 25), is unable to provide any coherent statement to the police.
The teacher identified as Bhabana Sarma (27) went missing after she boarded a vehicle in Assam on Friday (April 24)
According to the police here, investigation was on to ascertain whether she was drugged as she could not remember anything.
‘There was no apparent injury and nothing was stolen”, a police official said, adding that after her medical examination, she was handed over to her relatives.
The woman was found loitering in Polo Market here on Saturday morning before she was recovered.
A teacher at Miles Bronson Residential School, Azara, she was last seen around 11 am on April 24, the missing report said.
Her phone was last traced by Jalukbari Police in the Panbazar, Guwahati area.
She sent a message for help to her mother at 11 am. Her phone has been unreachable/untraceable since that time.
