Mitchel Wankhar quits NPP
Shillong,April 18: KHADC MDC Mitchel Wankhar has quit the NPP.
Wankhar, representing Laban-Mawprem constituency, cited personal reasons in his resignation letter addressed to the NPP state president and general secretary, on Monday
“It has been a privilege to work with you and the party for the last few years. However, due to certain personal reasons, I regret to inform your office that I am tendering my resignation as member of the party with effect from today.”
Wankhar had joined the NPP in 2019 and successfully contested the KHADC polls.
Sources said Wankhar may contest from UDP from Mylliem assembly constituency.
Exodus of MDCs
Recently, the KHADC MDCs, Macdalyne Sawkmie, Bajop Pyngrope, Teibor Pathaw, Grace Kharpuri and Frantin M Lakadong had joined NPP.
