Mother’s School celebrates Flower Week

Shillong, April 20: Mother’s School Shillong celebrated Flower Week bringing back traditional learning as part of education in the context of Artificial Intelligence.
Children were encouraged to draw pictures of flowers by sitting at Mother’s school garden.
The activities demonstrated the use of five senses by the children which will help them to understand real education and learning.
The purpose is to foster early appreciation for nature and environment among the children.
They celebrated Flowers Day through engaging activities like planting, crafting, and learning about different flowers.
“This celebration also enhances their sensory experiences, creativity, and understanding of life cycles, all while promoting teamwork and social skills in a fun-filled atmosphere”, said Farida Khan, educationalist and Principal of Mother’s School.
Flowers Day helps instill values of care, beauty, and respect for the environment among children from a young age “said Farida.
