National taekwondo referee seminar & refresher course concludes

Shillong, June 29: The Meghalaya Taekwondo Association (MTA) has concluded the 4th National Taekwondo Referee Seminar and Refresher Course 2026 on June 28.
The two-day programme commenced on June 27. The seminar witnessed the participation of over 100 referees and officials, including participants from the neighbouring states of Assam and Nagaland, making it a significant regional event for the promotion of technical excellence in taekwondo officiating.
The seminar and examinations were conducted by AT. Rajeev, an internationally renowned referee who served as a Technical Official at London 2012 Olympic, Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Throughout the programme, he maintained the highest standards of referee education and evaluation while making the sessions engaging through his practical insights and sense of humour, which was appreciated by all participants, said a statement issued by Jadumoni Singh, the general secretary of MTA.
The Meghalaya Taekwondo Association thanked all participants, officials, organisers, and supporters for contributing to the successful conduct of thie event. The association said it remains committed to enhancing the standards of taekwondo officiating and developing competent referees who can represent the region at national and international levels.
The MTA also thanked the volunteers and 58th GTC officers who have helped to complete the event successfully.
