Shillong, August 25: Migom Doley IRPFS, assumed charge as the new divisional security commissioner of the Railway Protection Force in Lumding Division, NF Railway, on Monday. He is the first and only IRPFS officer from entire North East India.
Prior to the new posting, the officer had served as divisional security commissioner in Adra Division, South Eastern Railway. In Adra, he was instrumental in conducting ‘Operation Nanhe Farishtey’, a drive for the rescue and rehabilitation of young runaway children from railway premises and trains which led to the rescue and rehabilitation of more than 100 children.
Earlier, he was Security Commissioner in Sealdah Division, Eastern Railway. He joined IRPFS as Assistant Security Commissioner in Howrah Division.
