NPP youth wing to pursue ILP, relocation of Harijan Colony
Kitborlang Nongrem new NPYF state president
Shillong, Jan 29: The newly elected state president of National People’s Youth Front (NPYF), Kitborlang Nongrem said the youth wing of NPP will pursue ILP and relocation of Harijan Colony among other pending issues.
However, Nongrem refused to comment on a question on illegal coal mining and its transportation and the need for an independent probe.
Nongrem was elected as president since Nicky Nongkhlaw, the national working president of the NPYF, was temporarily holding the post.
Nongrem said his immediate task is to strengthen the party in the state.
“The focus is on the youths and we want to constitute the NPYF in all the districts and blocks”, he said.
Nongrem said an enrolment drive urging youths to join NPYF will be conducted through online and offline modes.
“We as youth wing of NPP want to create a feeling of oneness among all sections of the youth. There is a need to develop a feeling of brotherhood”, he added.
