Shillong, July 14: To commemorate the 186th death anniversary of Khasi patriot U Tirot Sing, the Meghalaya Chess Association (MCA) in collaboration with Khasi Students Union (central body) will organise an online chess championship on July 17 at the chess platform of tornelo.com.
The competition consists of open and age categories of under 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18. Winners will receive cash prizes and certificates.
This chess competition will be organised by Swiss system of six rounds and the time format is 10 minutes 5 seconds increment for each round.

Players after completion of registration will get the link for the inauguration and tournament scheduled at 12 noon of July 17.
