Shillong, Feb 4: Police in Ri Bhoi foiled the attempt of criminals to pump in counterfeit notes in Meghalaya ahead of the Assembly polls.

The DGP LR Bishnoi tweeted that the police foiled their evil design,nabbed 3 persons & seized fake notes worth Rs 2.48 lakh, one scooty, three phones and 3 ATM cards.
Probe is on to check their linkages with drug traffickers, he said.
