Shillong, July 1: Ri Bhoi recorded more Covid cases in the last 24 hours than East Khasi Hills .
According to the Covid status issued on Thursday, Ri Bhoi recorded 260 new cases while East Khasi Hills had 157.

The new cases in other districts are East Garo Hills (12) , East Jaintia Hills (24), North Garo Hills (16), South Garo Hills and South West Garo Hills ( 6 each), South West Khasi Hills (14),West Garo Hills (34),West Jaintia Hills (21) and West Khasi Hills (27). There are a total of 577 new cases in the state .
New recoveries in Ri Bhoi are 71 while 70 patients recovered in East Khasi Hills.
There were six new deaths.
The total deaths in the state till date are 844 and the total active cases are 4537.
