Shillong, May 31: A team of seven riders had set out for the 4th edition of the Shirui Lily Festival Downhill Challenge and came out victorious having a clean sweep in the hardtail category and in the Full suspension category.
It was a fight to the last millisecond with riders trying to clock the least time from the top to the bottom of the mountain some having a mechanical problem mid run and some with injuries from the previous day practice but still pushed on and secured top positions.
In the hardtail category, Taitus CH Marak came first followed by Aaron Oniel Kharpuri, Ridor Bonaventure Niangti and Nicholas Syrti.
In the full suspension category, Ismamul Howk from Assam came first followed by Apshai Griffith Niangti and Meban Aiboklang Suiam. Kevin Tham came ninth.
