Shillong, Mar 8: SPARK, a city-based NGO, celebrated International Women’s Day on Tuesday by encouraging women in a few villages and a city slum to take up education. SPARK president Shima Modak gave each woman a pen and an exercise book and asked them to choose the path of empowerment through education. She also talked about women’s rights.
