Shillong, Sept 14: Assembly Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh informed the House on Wednesday that the resolution seeking his removal has been withdrawn by the opposition Congress.
Metbah said he received a letter signed by Congress MLAs – Zenith Sangma, Himalaya Shangpliang, George B Lyngdoh and Kimfa S Marbaniang informing that they have decided to withdraw the resolution submitted on September 2.

“Since the resolution was not taken up in the House, it stands withdrawn,” the Speaker said.
