Students injured as bike skids off the road in city
Police opted for compromise, no case taken
Shillong, July 29: Two students were injured on Friday when a bike skidded off the road as the rider lost control near Lady Hydari Park.
The place was crowded as students and others thronged to eat aloo muri.
The incident took place around 12.15 pm.
Atleast two students of Seven Set School sustained internal injuries.
When asked, the biker said he is a class XI student of Seven Set School.
Police personnel who were present asked him to compromise as they did not want to follow up the matter.
When asked, the biker said he had a learner’s license but did not show it.
Police did not insist for papers of the bike.
The biker who claimed that he is 18 year-old said the incident happened when he was negotiating a car on the way.
But the eye-witnesses said he was speeding resulting in the accident.
The police asked the biker to take the injured to civil hospital.
