Shillong, Sept 24: Three pressure groups, KSU, FKJGP and HNYF, staged a surprise protest on Friday at the gate of state secretariat.
The protesters, holding banners, demanded action against police personnel involved in killing of former general secretary of HNLC Cherishstarfield Thangkhiew on August 13.

Earlier, in a symbolic protest, the members of Voice of Mawlai People had deposited knives at the gate of secretariat.
