Shillong, Aug 24: Assam police allegedly assaulted three youths from Umlaper in Ri Bhoi border on Monday evening.
Following the incident, an angry mob vandalised the Assam police check gate in the village on Tuesday, a police source said.

The Assam police had set up a temporary camp and it was vacated following the incident, the source added.
