Tibetan coordinator in US supports unconditional talks with China
Shillong, Jan 21: The US special coordinator for Tibetan Issues, Urza Zeya, has upheld the decision of Sikyong Penpa Tsering, Dharamshala, to resume dialogue, without preconditions, between China and the Dalai Lama on the Tibetan cause.
In a letter to Tsering dated January 6, Zeya said, “We remain steadfast in our support for protecting the human rights of Tibetans and efforts to preserve your distinct historical, linguistic, cultural and religious identity.”

“We are committed to increasing access to Tibet and to supporting efforts to protect the environment and water resources of the Tibetan Plateau,” Zeya added.
