Tripura govt gets HC notice on Covid management
Agartala, May 25 (UNI): The High Court of Tripura has served a one week notice to the state government seeking reply on the preparedness of combating Covid-19, which has gradually been taking a complicated shape.
The division bench comprising Chief Justice A A Kureshi and Justice S Talapatra after hearing a public interest litigation filed by a young advocate Bhaskar Debbarma sought a comprehensive affidavit from the state government.
“We have raised three specific issues in the petition — the first point stands localised triage system. In Mumbai’s BMC, a triage system has been devised to ensure access to healthcare for the Covid-19 infected patients subject to their health conditions. In Delhi, the system has collapsed because it doesn’t follow the localised healthcare facilities,” the petition claimed.
The petitioner wanted to know from the state government regarding the availability of oxygen, medicines, equipment, ventilators and other support systems related to Covid treatment. The Court after hearing the petition issued notice.
