Tuber health sub-centre without power for months
Govt did not clear bills, DMHO tells Jaintia National Council members
Shillong, Aug 10: The Tuber health sub-centre in East Jaintia Hills does not have electricity for the last 3-4 months because the state government “has not cleared the power bills”.
Members of the Jaintia National Council, led by its finance secretary Training Phawa, met the DMHO on Thursday. The district health officer informed that the power bills have not been cleared.

The Council demanded that electricity be restored immediately. It condemned the government’s lackadaisical attitude for which the public is suffering.
The DMHO assured that he would follow it up with the higher authorities so that power is restored at the earliest.
