Shillong,Aug 12: Union minister of state for Jal Shakti and Tribal Affairs, Bishweswar Tudu walked out of the review meeting held at convention centre on Friday.
Later, the state government officials visited his room at Hotel Pinewood and pleaded with him to return for the meeting.
Talking to reporters, the minister said only a presentation was given without any papers during the review meeting.
To a question, he admitted that he was not happy with the meeting.
“This is my first visit. I am here to review the central schemes but how can I give a report without papers and hard copies of the presentation”, the minister said.
Later, he continued his meeting with the government officials.
The minister is on a two-day visit to Shillong to review the implementation of various developmental works, schemes and programmes by Central ministries and departments followed by the departmental review of the schemes of Jal Jivan Mission (JJM), Swatcch Bharat Mission (SBM),Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana ( PMKSY) and other flagship programmes of ministry of Jal Shakti and Tribal Affairs.
