Shillong, June 22: On the occasion of Thomas Jones Day, an upgraded hall of Dr H Gordon Robert Hospital was inaugurated by Titosstar Chyne, CEM of KHADC and Michael Kharsyntiew, grandson of Christina Kharsyntiew (founder trustee of KTIEW EMS TRUST)- in the presence of the members of hospital governing body, the presbyterian synod, hospital medical staff and doctors/nurses and special invitees.
The total project cost was about Rs 20 lakh which was jointly funded by the KTIEW EMS TRUST and Hospital General Fund. .
Speaking on the occasion Michael Kharsyntiew reminded the hospital governing body of the many contributions made by the trust amounting to almost Rs 3 crore over the past 5 years .
The CEM recalled the contribution made by many missionaries, churches from all over the state and ordinary people for the health care and education of Meghalaya.
