
Shillong, April 9: The Ministry of Health, Uzbekistan has pointed out cardiac arrest as the reason for the death of Meghalaya official Syed Razi in a hotel room.
Principal Secretary in-charge health Sampath Kumar said on Wednesday that the official suffered ‘acute cardiovascular and respiratory problem – caused by thromboembolism of right pulmonary artery’ according to the health ministry of Uzbekistan.
The official was laid to rest on Wednesday afternoon at Lodhi burial ground, New Delhi.

Besides Kumar, those who attended the funeral include Deputy Chief Minister, Speaker, Additional Chief Secretary, Commissioner and Secretary Cyril Diengdoh Secretary PWD, Chief Engineer PHE , many officers serving with the Centre, his batchmates (1999) and colleagues of his wife in CAG office and his family members. The drivers and staff who had worked for Jal Jeevan Mission also took part.
