VHP seeks guv intervention in Bangla violence against Hindus

Shillong, Oct 27: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Wednesday sought the intervention of Governor Satya Pal Malik in delivering justice to the victims of the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh.

In a memorandum submitted to Malik, VHP Shillong president Krishan Kr Sharma said, “We appeal to immediately issue condemnation of this cycle of violence against the Hindus and other minorities of Bangladesh and allow a delegation from Govt of India to Bangladesh.”

“We are also requesting the Bangladesh government to take strict action against the culprit and give protection to minority people. The VHP also appeals to the UNO to play its proactive role in preventing atrocities on Hindus,” he added.

Sharma said the attacks of jihadis on Hindus in Bangladesh are increasing.

Incidents of anti-Hindu violence in Bangladesh during Durga puja alone have been reported from more than 22 districts.

Over 150 Durga puja pandals and ISKCON temples were set ablaze in Bangladesh. The idols of deities were vandalized and broke.
