Shillong, Dec 2 : The state government has appointed senior police official H Nongpluh as new state Chief Information Commissioner.
Though the notification was on November 29, he took charge on December 1.

As per rule, he will be considered as retired from the police force once he assumes office.
The post has been pending for long after the tenure of Barkose Warjri ended.
