Shillong, May 8: South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai on Saturday inspected the sites of several ongoing projects at Dhobitala in Jhalupara and Paltan Bazar.
A playground, a children’s park and public toilets and bathrooms are under construction in the localities.

The MLA later held a meeting of the Monitoring cum Implementation Committee. The headmen of Jhalupara and Paltan Bazar, Mohan Limbu and Lamki Kyndiah, respectively, were also present.
The total cost of the ongoing developmental schemes is Rs 40 lakh sanctioned under the central AMRUT scheme and state’s SUWP Scheme 2021-22.
