Shillong, June 13: Tura MDC Bernard N Marak, who is chra of Kusimkolgre Akhing initiated the survey of the Akhing boundary along with the GHADC officials, Nokma of Kusimkolgre Akhing and the survey team from Shillong to mark the original pillars which were erected during the British time. There has been massive encroachment by different departments without proper acquisition which grossly violates the provisions of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution. “This survey will bring out the actual fact of the Akhing and would also show the areas occupied by different departments legally and illegally which is causing inconvenience to the local populace of the area.
