Shillong, Jan 31: The secretary of the Khasi Jaintia Christian Leaders Forum (KJCLF), Rev. EH Kharkongor has expressed concern over digging of black-topped road in Riat Laban.
In a statement, he said that the resurfacing of the road in Riat Laban which falls under the South Shillong constituency was done like other roads in the city a few days ago.
“But on January 31, it is appalling to see that the road is again cut by the contractors. Digging of the road again is criminal to say the least. It has totally destroyed the smooth condition of the road. Digging again has wasted a lot of money which will escalate as time goes by. It could take another election season to get it repaired”, he said, while seeking the intervention of the authorities.
