AAP delegation meets Delhi Election Commission

New Delhi, Sep 29 (UNI): A delegation of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday met Delhi Election Commission regarding delimitation of municipal wards in the national capital and submitted feedback about the first draft.

“We met the delimitation committee of MCD elections. There are 90 thousand plus voters in some wards and 30 thousand in others. Every ward gets a fixed fund for development, in such a situation, there will be a lot of difficulty in doing governance,” said Durgesh Pathak, AAP MLA.

“Somewhere islands have been made, in which the location has nothing to do with the ward, he added.

It is learnt that recently the draft delimitation has been made public and suggestions and objections have been invited till October 3.

“We have lodged objections with the MCD delimitation committee in the delimitation of the wards. We also demanded early elections from the MCD delimitation committee,” Pathak added.
