Shillong, June 24: Congress MLA Ampareen Lyngdoh has contradicted the claim of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma regarding 100 per cent vaccination of people under Police Bazar and Keating Road.
“This is incorrect @SangmaConrad @CMO_Meghalaya – the area is in my constituency and residents have informed me that they are yet to be vaccinated. A resident even sent me her token to say her slot is still pending. twitter.com/sangmaconrad/s…”, Lyngdoh tweeted on Thursday.
Earlier, the chief minister Conrad Sangma announced that two localities in Zone 3- Police Bazar & Keating Road- have finished 100% vaccination for all residents as well as shopkeepers and staff, keeping customers’ safety first in Shillong‘s shopping hub in the heart of the city.
Chief Minister also tweeted regarding other villages where 100 per cent vaccination was achieved.
“Dimit Rongtat village in East Garo Hills District has completed 100% covid vaccination of all eligible residents whereas Rongram, Allagre & Jengjal Kama in West Garo Hills District have achieved 100% vaccination of 45+ residents”, the chief minister said.
Earlier, Golagaon village under Baitbari PHC in West Garo Hills and Chiringro village under Samanda Block in East Garo Hills achieved vaccination of all adult persons. All 45 above residents in Kemrang Village under Pynursla Block, East Khasi Hills were also vaccinated.
